Kaiser Chiefs Tickets

The British indie rock band formed in 1996, Kaiser Chiefs took their name from a South African football team and heavily based their music in the genres of punk, rock and new wave. They are beginning their new worldwide tour hitting the UK in January 2012. Starting out in Leeds they began their musical career in a band called Parva, they played live gigs in and round Leeds and managed to secure themselves a record label and a publishing deal. However due to the closure of the label the band were dropped and considered damaged goods within the industry as they had a history. They began afresh with a new name and a new image, manger James Sandom was tipped off about a band and was persuaded to see them live. He took on the Kaiser Chiefs and signed them with B-Unique Records. The first album release in 2005 “Employment” was mainly inspired by the punk rock and new wave music of the late 70’s and reached the album charts at number 2. The album was such a success it went 5 times platinum and the single “I Predict a Riot” was voted number 36 in the NME’s “Greatest Indie Anthems Ever”. Following their world wide success the release of their second album “Yours Truly, Angry Mob” with the lead single “Ruby” which became the bands first number 1 hit. The album reached the number 1 spot in the charts and made it into the Billboards 200 Album charts at number 45. The single “Ruby” also won the band their first “Q Award” for best video. This was followed by the releases of their third albums “Off with Their Heads” which was as well received and lead them to play at many festivals all over the world.
